Plaque unveiled to celebrate official opening of The Featherstone!
Last week, we were delighted to join Southern Housing Group to commemorate the completion of The Featherstone –65 mixed tenure new homes in Old Street, Islington.
The Featherstone provides 35 apartments for private sale, 11 for shared ownership and 19 for affordable rent. The apartments range from one to four bedrooms in a dour storey block, and the development also features a large communal garden, a green roof and private outdoor spaces for each of the properties.
The new homes contain high-quality fixtures and interior finishes, including Silestone worktops in kitchens, full height fitted wardrobes in bedrooms and bespoke mirrored vanity cabinets with LED lighting in bathrooms. The development also includes cycle storage and a feature interior designed entrance lobby.
Tom Dacey, Group Chief Executive of Southern Housing Group, unveiled the plaque to commemorate the official opening of The Featherstone. Mr Dacey and Andy Hill, Group Chief Executive of Hill, each gave a speech to celebrate the opening and congratulate all parties on their hard work, before inviting guests to take a look around the show apartment.
It was with great pleasure that I unveiled the plaque marking the official opening of the Featherstone development. Working with all our partner organisations we have created a legacy of affordable homes in the heart of the City of which we can be truly proud.
