Hill and Marshall announce second phase of £540 million new community in Cambridge
Our joint venture partnership with Marshall Group Properties will deliver the second phase of Marleigh, a new neighbourhood three miles east of Cambridge city centre, which will comprise around 1,300 homes once complete, with a gross development value of £550million.
The second phase has outline planning and a reserved matters planning application for 417 homes will be submitted later this year, with start on site anticipated mid-2021.
The announcement marks the continuation of our partnership (Hill Marshall LLP), which is currently delivering 547 homes. Once complete, Marleigh will boast a wealth of community facilities including a market square, a two-form entry primary school and a community centre. The new community will be enveloped in natural surrounds, offering a multitude of verdant open spaces, public parks, woodland walks and allotment gardens, and there will be new cycle and walking routes, public art, outdoor spaces and sports pitches for residents of all ages to enjoy.
