Team Hill triumphs at Rectory Park cricket match!
Last week, Hill was able to defend its cricket title against Network Homes for the second consecutive year, at their annual game on the Rectory Park playing field in Ealing.
The playing field is located alongside our Rectory Park development, where we have been working with Network Homes since 2012.
The beginning of the match saw Team Hill set out with confidence opening the batting, however a couple of quick wickets knocked that confidence temporarily before a strong middle order saw the scoreboard continuing to grow with a number of boundaries, with Hill setting the target of 128 from the 20 over innings. After escaping the heatwave for a well-deserved break, it was Network’s turn to start their run chase. Despite a strong effort, they could only manage a score of 100 runs from their 20 overs, giving victory to Hill!
We are currently on site for the fourth phase at Rectory Park, where are working with Network Homes to deliver the final 198 units of the estate regeneration. Overall, the scheme has seen the phased demolition of 270 homes, and once complete will provide a total of 449 energy-efficient apartments and houses, alongside a community centre and play facilities. The new homes will be available for affordable rent, shared ownership and private sale.
Our team from Seasprite Close, which is just around from corner from Rectory Park, also joined our Rectory Park team for the match! Seasprite Close which is part of Ealing Hill, our collection of new homes created as a result of our innovative partnership with Ealing Council, will provide 88 apartments and houses, with a selection available for affordable rent!
