Innovative joint venture model
This is a strategic 50:50 joint venture with Peabody across multiple sites and phases including Motion, Lea Bridge and Fish Island Village, Hackney Wick. It encompasses almost 900 multi-tenure new homes and over 50,000 sq ft commercial and affordable work space across 30 buildings, including three iconic towers of which one was 18-storeys, offices, retail, leisure, affordable workspace, studios, restaurants and curated retail.
Well-located, state-of-the-art homes
Motion is a collection of 300 state-of-the-art homes designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards, positioned in the heart of the Borough of Waltham Forest’s growing Mini-Holland network and marked the start of the regeneration of the Lea Bridge neighbourhood.
Set across six buildings, three of which range from 11 to 17 storeys, the contemporary mixed-tenure apartments described as "aerodynamic Smart Deco" take their inspiration from the boroughs Art Deco heritage. The development also provides large amounts of commercial space in 6 separate units.
Exemplar design
Fish Island Village, designed in partnership by Haworth Tompkins, Pitman Tozer and Lyndon Goode Architects, comprises 434 private apartments, 146 affordable homes and 57,000 sq ft of commercial space, of which 48,000 sq ft is being operated by social enterprise The Trampery. The development also provides new public amenities, including a stylish canal-side public square and a residents’ gym.
