The Avenue, Saffron Waldon

The Avenue was sympathetically designed to reflect the surrounding architecture of the popular medieval town of Saffron Walden. Set inside the grounds of Friends’ School, the 76 new homes are within the town’s Conservation Area and adjacent to a listed water tower.

Creating characterful homes inspired by the local area

Working with the architects we designed the homes which range in size from one bedroom apartments up to five bedroom family houses and combined traditional elements found in Saffron Walden with more modern features. The result is characterful homes that tie beautifully with the neighbourhood. At the heart of the scheme’s design is a beautiful avenue of mature lime trees, which provides the development with an undeniable sense of community.
